The great Harry Houdini was an enigma. He died under unusual circumstances. Officially he died of peritonitis after he asked one of his students to him with his fists in the belly to show him how strong he is. A few days later, Houdini got a seizure and high temperature. But despite this he started his show and collapsed on the stage from pain. They were able to revive him in the locker room, after which he continued his performance. After that he was hospitalized and died at 52 years of life.
One of his best tricks, which did not involve a Houdini escape or release from bondage, was disappearance of elephant Jennie, with which he had a performance in New York Hippodrome in 1918. No one ever discovered the secret of his success, but apparently this trick Houdini took from the illusionist Charles Morrita, who sold him few of his tricks.

His Emancipation Proclamation, issued in 1863, freed all slaves in the rebellious states and paved the way for slavery's eventual abolition, while his Gettysburg Address later that year stands as one of the most famous and influential pieces of oratory in American history. In April 1865, with the Union on the brink of victory, Abraham Lincoln was shot and killed by the Confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth; his untimely death made him a martyr to the cause of liberty and Union. Over the years Lincoln's mythic stature has only grown, and he is widely regarded as one of the greatest presidents in the nation's history.

Leonardo Da Vinci

Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452, "at the third hour of the night" in the Tuscan hill town of Vinci, in the lower valley of the Arno River in the territory of Florence. He was the illegitimate son of Messer Piero Fruosino di Antonio da Vinci, a Florentine notary, and Caterina, a peasant who may have been a slave from the Middle East. Leonardo had no surname in the modern sense, "da Vinci" simply meaning "of Vinci": his full birth name was "Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci", meaning "Leonardo, son of (Mes)ser Piero from Vinci."
